Nutritional Medicine

What is Nutritional Medicine?

Nutritional Medicine combines the latest research-based evidence in biochemistry and nutrition with naturopathic principles. It is more than ‘healthy eating’ or ‘nutritional advice’. Our aim is to help patients move towards healing themselves. It takes into account the complex interactions between the mind and the body, acknowledging the effect of the emotions on the state on health. It is natural medicine because it respects the inherent ability of body cells and tissues to restore their own healthy function given the appropriate tools – the nutrients and environmental conditions – for repair and renewal.

Our bodies are truly amazing. They have vast & profound healing abilities. By supporting the body’s natural processes and ensuring a good level of the correct nutrients, doing exercise and dealing with stress, the body will heal.

At the Bath Practice, the nutritional therapists are trained and qualified to a high standard to offer individual therapeutic nutritional programs to patients with a wide range of health conditions.
