Frozen Shoulder

Fortunately, true frozen shoulder is exceptionally uncommon. Adhesive capsulitis is a disease process that mostly affects diabetic women over the age of 50. This disease usually takes 18 months (yes months!) to run its course, maybe less with regular treatment and exercise.

Most mechanical shoulder problems like tendonitis are thankfully far more receptive to manual treatment, and don’t take as long to recover from. An osteopath or chiropractor has the knowledge required to diagnose these problems and advise on rehabilitation and treatment accordingly. Once there is an understanding that the problem is muscular, massage is also a great choice for treatment.
